The fertility of the volcanic soil, combined with abundance of thermal water sources allow the Azores to have a rich, luxuriant vegetation.
The 9 volcanic islands is where Ignae conducts its R&D — from deep-ocean and open-sea marine research to examining local botanicals in the rainforests — it's passion is to discover new ways to transform nature's goodness to formulate high performance clean and vegan skincare.

A nanometer = 1 billionth of a meter — to put this into perspective, a human hair is about 80,000 nanometers wide.
Nanosomes are unique because they're designed with a water based head and and oil based tail. The water based head allows it to be accepted by the skin, while the oily tail propels it all the way to the deepest layers of the dermis. This is why textures are light and have a liquid feel, as heavier textures impede nanosomal penetration. This also makes the products suitable for all skin types.
